Lexington Avenue Baptist Church Preschool is a non-profit program organized by the church to meet the needs of early childhood education in our community. LABC Preschool is licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and operates under a standing committee of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.

To enable each child to:

• Grow in trust, independence, and initiative

• Develop a positive image of self

• Develop a curiosity for the world and an enthusiasm for learning

• Explore the world around him/her

• Enjoy creative expression through music, art, and other activities

• Learn how to get along with others by taking turns, expressing feelings appropriately, and treating others kindly

• Refine and develop both large and fine motor skills

• Adjust to a school routine and find that learning is exciting

Our program lays the foundation for a positive learning experience throughout your child’s life. Our curriculum provides ongoing thematic units throughout the year. They provide opportunities to explore and discover new things about the world. They are designed to progress as your child’s skills develop.
