Music Ministry

Our adult choir leads worship and sings an anthem every Sunday morning, in addition to special events in the life our our church. The choir is open to everyone - no audition is necessary. Join us for rehearsals every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:15 in the downstairs music room. We’ll save you a seat!

The Handbell Choir rehearses every Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 5:00 pm. The Choir is open to anyone who can read music or who has a willingness to learn. The Handbell Choir plays occasionally throughout the year during worship services and special events.

Every Wednesday, kids visit the music room during their Bible study time to sing, play instruments, and learn about God through music. There are separate classes for preschool and elementary students. Rehearsals take place between 6:45 and 7:25 pm. Check out the Children’s Ministry page for info.

LABC has a rich musical tradition, including our 36-rank M.P. Möller Organ. The instrument has 2,061 pipes ranging from pipes as small as pencils to others up to 16 feet in length. The organ has four divisions (3 manuals and pedals), 41 stops, and 21 couplers. It is truly a handmade work of art. Click HERE for organ specs.

The bells in our steeple tower were cast and installed in 1941 by the Old Meneely Bell Foundry in West Troy, NY. In 2021, the bells were completely refurbished by the Verdin Company in Cincinnati and reinstalled. You can hear the bells chime each hour and play a selection of hymns daily at noon.

Our annual concert series features organ recitals, choral performances, solo recitals and more in our beautiful, acoustic sanctuary! All concerts are free and open to the public.
